Glass: reveal the edge
Transparency alone is ambiguous. State wall thickness, edge light, caustics, background tone, and whether the container is blank. Check for impossible refraction and duplicate caps.
Metal: design the reflection
Large soft sources and named finishes—brushed, polished, anodized—give the model a clearer target. Inspect hotspots, engraved-like hallucinations, and broken watch geometry.
Fabric: ask for weave and drape
Describe silk sheen, wool texture, cotton matte finish, or technical knit. Lighting should reveal folds without turning fabric into plastic.
